Kwale Project - Base Titanium

• Active in 22 schools in Kwale

Kakamega Project -Acacia Exploration Kenya Limited

• Active in 12 schools in Kakamega
• More than 20,000 children attendance each week
• Employ 50 local community youths
• Having a positive impact on the thousands of families within the community
• Establishment of playground infrastructure in schools
• Creating a direct communication platform with the local community

Borehole Project

Little Sports organisation coordinated construction of five boreholes in Kakamega, Vihiga and Siaya County on behalf of Acacia Exploration Kenya Limited.

These boreholes have been constructed in primary schools and Health centres and benefiting over 30,000 households and schools.

School photos for 15,000 children.

Most African children grow up without seeing a picture of themselves. Base Titanium and LSO gave personalised photos to 15,000 children in the project.

All photos had names, class and favourite activity of each child.

First Aid training

LSO coaches have been trained on First Aid. This enables the coaches to give first aid to children in the schools as well as in their communities

Developing special needs children

 

Developing special needs children LSO is an all-inclusive NGO. We ensure that special needs children participate in our Sports and Life skills program. Over 50  special needs children participate in LSO Sports and Life skills sessions.

Environmental training

LSO coaches have been trained in Environmental conservation. This has been included as a Life skill taught to the children to ensure children grow up while understanding the importance of conserving the environment in their communities.

Coaches have been cleaning the coastal beaches and health centres and also teaching the community to maintain a good environment.

Distribution of learning materials

LSO promotes education. We distribute learning materials and stationery to schoolchildren.

Children are awarded with stationery during school competitions.

School competitions

LSO holds schools competitions at the end of every term. Government officials, parents, teachers and children come together to compete in sports.
We had over 30,000 participants in December 2014 end of year community/school fun days.
